Day 1: Travel Day
Day 2: BUENOS AIRES -

Welcome at Ezeiza Airport and transfer to Hotel Legado Mitico, in Palermo Soho area of Buenos Aires. Rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight at Hotel Legado Mitico, Buenos Aires.

Day 3: BUENOS AIRES (B)

City tour of Buenos Aires included  includes attractions such as the 9 de Julio Avenue, the Obelisk and Corrientes Street. The first stop will be in the Plaza de Mayo so as to visit the Cathedral and the Cabildo (Old City Hall). After that, the trip will continue towards the most traditional neighborhood of Buenos Aires, San Telmo, which is characterized by its old colonial houses and the cobblestoned streets.

Later on, the tour will go to La Boca Neighborhood located in the south of the city. There will be a new scheduled stop so as to look around the colorful zinc houses that make up this area of Buenos Aires and that used to be the refuge and home for the first immigrants and popular artists. Soon after, the vehicle continues to Puerto Madero – the old port of the city that was turned into one of the most exclusive gastronomic and residential areas in Buenos Aires. The tour will go to Palermo: one of the most extended areas in the city and where it is possible to find the popular woods of Palermo with more or less 300 ha (741 acres) of gardens and artificial ponds surrounded by elegant buildings. Finally, the last point in the tour is Recoleta, which is one of the most selected neighborhoods and where, among other attractions, the Recoleta Cemetery can be found. Also, there are bars, cafes and fancy restaurants that are worth a visit. Here will be the last stop so as to walk to the cemetery area and its surroundings

  • Gala Tango Shuttle Dinner Tango Show Excursion.

Gala Tango is a unique place due to its French architecture and decoration, a reminiscent of the 30s in Argentina. There is also an impressive marble bar done by Carrara and many little details of refinement that make this place distinguished and classy.

Gala Tango offers Tango show for a reduce group of tourists in an intimate and private environment. Before the show, it is possible to participate in a tango class before trying another delight in the house: the food which proofs to be a true gourmet cuisine. They also have an extensive wine list which features some of the best bottles from Argentina.

Here it is possible to dine, dance, and enjoy the best in tango and folklore.

Day 4: BUENOS AIRES / SALTA (B)

Transfer to Domestic airport for flight to Salta.

Upon arrival at Salta airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel.

Half day city tour of Salta –  includes the places of great importance for the city. You will start in the 9 of July main plaza so as to go around the streets in the city centre and revive the Spanish period through the architecture of the city. It is possible to see the Cathedral, the San Francisco church, the San Bernardo convent and the High Mountain Museum and see in this place the Llullaillaco Mummies.

After that, you will continue to the “San Bernardo” Hill to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. Then, and passing by the Memorial site for the Battle of Salta, the vehicle will go towards the outskirts and visit a summer village called “San Lorenzo”, characterized by the subtropical microclimate. The last stop will be at the Artisan Market where craftsmen of the entire province will show you their original crafts, like the famous “Salteño Poncho”.

Day 5: SALTA (B)

Full Day excursion to the  Humahuaca Gorge:

This is a trip along the Gorge that was declared World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO because of the colorful landscapes and cultures that make up this one-of-the-kind destination.

The tour will actually begin in the Purmamarca Village where you will be able to look closely at the well-known Seven Colors Hill, the town Church and the Craft Market located around the square.

Then the vehicle will head northwards up to Tilcara town, where there will be a stop so as to visit the old Pucara (Fortress in Quechua language) and the Archeological museum before arriving in Huacalera; that place exhibits a wonderful landscape in a hill named “the skirt of the Colla woma” due to the shape it has.

The next point is Uquia, with its church located just before the town of Humahuaca and hre, you will get off the vehicle so as to visit the monument to the Native Indian made by the artist Soto Avendaño.

After lunch and heading back to the south, it will be possible to admire the hill nicknamed “the Paintor´s Palette” just on the side of the town Maimara. There will be stop in the city of San Salvador de Jujuy in order to visit the Cathedral which exhibits an amazing piece functioning as a pulpit and that was made by the sculpture Lola Mora.

You will return to Salta along the old road by a cliff and framed by exuberant subtropical vegetation until the arrival in the city of Salta.

Day 6: CALCHAQUI VALLEY (B)

Calchaqui Valley – The foothills of the Andes provide not only fantastic drainage for wine production (particularly good for the Torrontes grape), but also the type of scenery that makes you stop and stare. Weekends there is a fantastic fiesta atmosphere in the main square.  We will be visiting multiple award winning wineries.

The excursion is a tour by two wineries of Cafayate that are positioned as ones of the best of the Calchaqui Valley.

These could be San Pedro de Yacochuya & Piattelli Vineyards on the west and El Esteco & El Porvenir de los Andes on the east. The tour could not be complete if we do not visit the Museum of the Vine and Wine.

In each winery we do a tour by the facilities and a tasting of the best wine produced in the winery. The tour and the tasting are guided by a sommelier that explains the particularities of the wine, the vine and cellar as well.

Day 7: CALCHAQUI VALLEY (B)

The excursion is a tour by two wineries of Cafayate that are positioned as ones of the best of the Calchaqui Valley.

These could be San Pedro de Yacochuya & Piattelli Vineyards on the west and El Esteco & El Porvenir de los Andes on the east. The tour could not be complete if we do not visit the Museum of the Vine and Wine.

In each winery we do a tour by the facilities and a tasting of the best wine produced in the winery. The tour and the tasting are guided by a sommelier that explains the particularities of the wine, the vine and cellar as well.

Day 8: CALCHAQUI VALLEY (B/L)

 

HD Quilmes Ruins Excursion – Private Service with English speaking guide.

This is an excursion to the last Indian settlement in Calchaquí Valley. It is an anthropological, historical and scenic walking through the ruins.

Day 9: Cafayate to Salta Airport (B)

Cafayate to Salta Airport – through the route of the “Quebrada de las Conshas”

Transfer to Airport  for flight to Iguazu Falls.

Day 10: IGUAZU FALLS (B)

Full Day excursion to the Argentina side of the falls.

The park was created in 1934 with the main aim to protect the majestic Iguazu Falls. In 1984, the UNESCO declared this place Natural World Heritage due to the beauty of the scenery and the biological diverse in this subtropical rainforest.

The visit to the Iguazu National Park can be done via 3 circuits and on catwalks, best known as Lower Path, Higher path and the Devil´s Throat Path. The Lower Path is a 1,200-metre-walk (0.8 miles) that gives a great view of the majority of the rapids and falls from a front and lower point of view. The distances range from a bird’s eye point of view of The Devil’s Throat together with several Brazilian rapids, to spectacular close-ups to other falls. This walk has some high difficulty level due to the number of steps along the way. (Approximate duration: 2 hours). The Higher Path is a 1,300-metre-walk (0.9 miles) that will raise every visitor´s adrenaline level because of the vertigo of being at the edge of some waterfalls. This walk has breathtaking sceneries from a cliff-point outlook and this is the less effort demanding walk of the three traditional ones. No steps along the way. (Approximate duration: 1 hour). The Devil’s Throat has to be access via the Ecological Jungle Train, and everyone must get off at the stop named after this waterfall. From there, there is a stroll along the catwalk which is a winding path that goes around the islands for 1,100 meters (0.7 miles) and ends in the large balconies located on the edge of falls. There are no steps along the path.

It starts and finishes at the end of the Lower Circuit, which is located in front of the San Martin Island. The ride is made with motor-boats that pass through the lower canyon of the Iguassu River and around the island up to the foot of the three Musketeers waterfall, where one can enjoy a spectacular and clear view of both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides, as well as the Devil’s Throat Fall. Besides enjoying the beautiful panoramic view of both sides of the falls, it is possible to get very close to the waterfall of San Martin Island, the biggest waterfall that a motor-boat can approach safely.

At the set time you will be transferred to Puerto Iguazu airport.
