Stay at a beautiful, full service  Kodiak Island Wilderness Lodge located on Raspberry Island, in the Kodiak Island Archipelago of Alaska. Start your trip off with  a 5 hour float plane ride, and take in the majestry of Kodiak Island while getting a close up view of their famous brown bears and glaciers. During the tour the float plane pilot will land at the foot of the glacier and or near congregating bears so that passengers can get the up close experience.  

Your Kodiak Island adventure is not complete until you have taken in all of the scenery and wildlife Kodiak Island has to offer.  Wildlife viewing opportunities are exceptional in this area.  During your stay on Kodiak Island you will take an all day boat excursion where you can experience whales breaching, seals and sea lions swimming or sunning themselves, and playful river otters slipping in and out of the water.  Your remaining days can be spent hiking the extensive trail system or sea kayaking with a trained guide. As you look up you can see bald eagles as they soar overhead, and you might even catch a glimpse of mountain goats feeding on their steep perches. In the hills and along the beaches, Sitka blacktail deer can be spotted quite frequently. The ever elusive Kodiak brown bear roams the hillsides until the salmon return to spawn in the freshwater streams. You might even see a sow teaching her cubs how to fish for spawning salmon and a red fox sneaking around for a leftover morsel.
